Bay Rum Essential Oil

Our pure, therapeutic quality Jamaican Bay Rum Essential Oil is golden yellow/amber in hue and is steam distilled from the leaves of Pimenta racemosa.

Within fragrancing applications and blending work, Bay Rum Essential Oil is considered a middle note. It is medium to strong in aromatic intensity and possesses a spicy, herbaceous scent that many also classify as masculine in aroma. It is especially well suited for soaps, after-shaves, colognes and other topical applications for men. It is also popular for inclusion in massage formulations and in formulations intended for overall wellness.

Bay Rum Essential Oil blends well with many other natural aromatics including essential oils within the wood, herbaceous, spice and citrus families.

Bay Rum Essential Oil is sometimes simply referred to as Bay Essential Oil. However, it is important not to confuse Bay Rum Essential Oil with that of Bay Laurel Essential Oil as both are different in properties and composition.

The recommended maximum for topical use is 0.9% as advised by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young within Essential Oil Safety (Edition 2).
